Union Square Asphalt Art Mural | New York, NY

For the fourth year in a row, Street Plans partnered with the Union Square Partnership and the NYC DOT Art Unit to install a new asphalt art mural along 14th Street in Manhattan. The 2024 design, "Flowing Together," was created by artist Talisa Almonte and brought to life with the help of dozens of community volunteers.

Beyond adding color to the street, the mural functions as a traffic-calming treatment, visually narrowing the roadway and reinforcing pedestrian space in one of Union Square's busiest corridors.
